David Allen Casarotto
Chairman
David was born, raised and educated in Salt Lake City, Utah. His childhood consisted of spending summer vacations at his grandparents’ house in Milton, Wisconsin. Being raised by both his mother and grandmother, he adopted the graces and manners of southern style and hospitality. He graduated in 2005, with honors, from the University of Utah, double majoring in both sociology and psychology. He has been the Chairman of the Board of the Allen Foundation for the past 15 years. He is very proud to follow in the footsteps of his late grandparents, helping to perpetuate their legacy of philanthropy. He is a licensed and accomplished private pilot and in his free time enjoys flying, boating, skydiving, traveling and spending his free time with his wife Danielle and his step-son Anthony.
Danielle DeLuca Casarotto
Board Member
Danielle was born and raised in Riverton, Utah, and makes her home in Salt Lake City. She attended Southern Utah University, and graduated from Salt Lake Community College, with degrees and certifications in Mortuary Science, and as a Master Esthetician. She is also a licensed insurance agent. As a Board Member of the Allen Foundation, Danielle is proud to continue its philanthropic heritage, and to expand its role in the communities it serves by guiding it to reflect her interests and passions, and through her enthusiastic and energetic approach to Board governance. In her free time, Danielle enjoys travel, crafts, and most of all her family; spending time with her husband David and son Anthony, her extended family, and their beloved dogs Julius, Caesar, and Boo.
Ryan James DeLuca, PhD
Board Member
Ryan is a native of Riverton, Utah, and still makes his home there. He attained his Bachelor of Science degree at Southern Utah University, his Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Utah, and an NIH Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University. He currently serves as an Associate Professor (Lecturer) at the University of Utah, in Organic Chemistry, and is the author of multiple peer-reviewed scholarly publications. Ryan’s demonstrated commitment to community service and outreach is exemplified by his service on the Allen Foundation Board, where he provides unique insights; especially relating to educational, scientific, and healthcare-related charitable opportunities. In his free time, Ryan’s personal interests include reading, ballistics, rock climbing, outdoor recreation, and most of all spending time with his family and loved ones.

Michael Bush
Strategic Advisor
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mike has more than thirty-five years' leadership experience in the business world, primarily focused on healthcare; with an extensive background in executive leadership and consulting. As Strategic Advisor for The Allen Foundation, Mike is honored to leverage his healthcare background to help identify new areas for Foundation support, as well as his dedication to promoting services that improve outcomes and quality of life for communities served by the Foundation. A graduate of the University of Utah, Mike and his family live in Park City, Utah, where he is an avid outdoor enthusiast.
